EATING DISORDERS

be included in an edition of the newsletter published  no more than two months in advance of the meeting  during which a vote

will be  taken. This will serve as a formal notification to members of the proposed changes and that their presence will be needed at

      the time of the vote.”

According to our current by-laws, we are notifying you through the newsletter one month prior to the meeting when copies of the proposed changes will be distributed.  That will be August.  Voting will occur in September.  You can see why speeding up the Amendments process makes sense.

Our Elections will be held in September and the Nominating Committee will present its slate of officers and Board members at the August meeting.  Please consult a copy of the by-laws regarding the process for nominations from the floor.

We could use your help in a different kind of area:  we are looking for an attorney who is interested in donating his or her time to advise us on various matters that come up, particularly laws regarding non-profit organization and risk management.  Ideally, this would be someone with a strong interest in mental health/brain disorders, but we can certainly educate the person!  We are also looking for a volunteer outside auditor who would also be willing to volunteer time to review our financial records each year-end.  Believe me, it won’t take long! Keep in mind that we meet in Foley as usual for July, August and September!!  See you there!   Lynn
